Winter Harmony: A Seasonal Choral Concert - Friday, December 13th at 5:30PM
Past Event
Location
St John's Episcopal Church, 325 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401
We warmly invite you to attend the annual Ralston College's Seasonal Choral Concert.
This year, the professional vocal consort will be accompanied by the Ralston Chorus in a program of sacred and secular carols and readings. The concert draws inspiration from the College's curriculum, which centers on Western civilization—its foundational ideas, ideals, and the great figures who have shaped them. Over the past months, our studies have focused on the works of Homer, Plato, and the Greek Bible.
Each year, we select a theme that guides us through the Hellenic tradition, from antiquity to the medieval period, and into the modern age. This year's theme is "Nature"—an enduring exploration of the natural world that encompasses both beauty and fragility, permanence and transformation. As we enter the darkest days of the year, it is the perfect time to remind ourselves of the harmony found in the natural world and the resilience of light amidst the winter darkness.
We hope you will join us in celebrating the midwinter season at the midpoint of our academic year. This concert is a token of our deep gratitude to Savannah, whose warm and gracious hospitality has given our college a beautiful and inspiring home.
Please RSVP through eventbrite below; free admission.
