is the President of the Arthur N. Rupe Foundation and was formerly the Chief Academic Officer of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and the Editor of the Intercollegiate Review. Among his books are A Student’s Guide to the Core Curriculum, and his articles and reviews have appeared in numerous journals. He has recently edited a collection of essays that appeared in the Intercollegiate Review during the course of its first four decades; the volume includes contributions by Robert Bork, Cleanth Brooks, Elizabeth Fox-Genovese, Russell Kirk, Ludwig von Mises, Leo Strauss, Eric Voegelin, and Robert Penn Warren. He also has a particular interest in the work of Whit Stillman, and has edited a critical collection of essays concerned with his films.
