Olivia Jensen is a maker, mystic, and scholar whose work is guided by the conviction that the mythopoeic tradition contains essential remedies for modern problems of familial breakdown, disembodiment, and psychic disharmony. She is a resident academic fellow at Ralston College, where she was recently awarded a Master of Arts in Humanities. Olivia holds a degree in Political Science and German Studies from Brigham Young University, where she worked as a research assistant and data analyst exploring the “myth” of the independent voter and the recent ideological migrations of American women. She is a previous fellow of the Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy. Raised in the Arizona desert, she began cultivating her talents in visual fine art and classical piano performance, winning numerous awards in both disciplines over the years. Olivia continues to harness her artistic and analytical gifts at Ralston College, undertaking multi-disciplinary interpretations of the West’s foundational myths, particularly as they pertain to the feminine aspects of the psyche. As she holds contemplation through craftsmanship to be an essential complement to the intellectual life, Olivia has a passion for construction work and is currently building her own ranch and off-grid art studio in the rugged White Mountains of Arizona.
