Please join us for the inaugural Ralston College seasonal concert of sacred and secular carols. This evening of contemplative and festive music will feature a vocal sextet and a string quartet under the direction of Sharon Mays. An assembly of vocalists and musicians, drawn from the ranks of the Savannah Philharmonic and the lofts of our own neighborhood choirs, will showcase the rich culture of our community. The program’s musical selections, from the 14th century to the 20th, aim to draw out the tensions that belong to the season, when darkness grows and life recedes; when the human spirit cries out for that thing which it needs most: a gift. It is a season that prepares for giving, and one of reflection on what it means to receive. We offer this evening to you as a small token of our own gratitude to a community that has given our new and growing college a home.
With musicians Kristi Bryson (soprano), Tina Zenker Williams (soprano), Drew Whitlow (tenor), Demetri Chrissos (baritone), Colin Harrison (bass), Sinisa Ciric (violin), Thiago Formiga (violin), LiZhou Liu (viola), Leah Dutton (cello) and Sharon Mays (mezzo soprano and artistic director).
Free Admission.
