is a classicist and educator whose scholarly work has centered on Latin and Italian poetry, particularly that of Virgil and Dante. She taught ancient and medieval humanities at the University of Central Oklahoma for a number of years before serving as the Chair of Humanities at the Academy of Classical Christian Studies, where she oversaw its K-12 humanities program and taught Latin, the Bible, logic, and her own omnibus course combining literature and history.
Ms Bright is now an instructor at the Scholé Academy, an online classical Christian school, where in addition to teaching topics ranging from Early Church History to Moral Theology, she has been instrumental in helping to develop its Canterbury House of Studies, to which she currently serves as its Chair. This small group program, which brings together students for fellowship and learning, culminates in a magnificent tour through the history of Christianity, not the least of which is a ruminative trip to Canterbury Cathedral. Such endeavors, part of a lifetime of instruction, encapsulate Ms Bright’s passion to help others to develop the foundational principles to think about the good, the true, and the beautiful.
