Thatcher Gearhart is a graduate of Yale College and has had a successful career in business and finance in Boston. As a director at Bain Capital, he moved from generalist investing to co-managing their global financial services stock portfolio, a role which allowed him also to act as a global macroeconomist and asset class thinker. Upon retirement from more traditional employment at the age of 32, Mr Gearhart has taken his strategy and business skills into the non-profit arena, where he has and continues to serve as an officer or board member for many charities of a religious, educational, historical, or musical nature. He also serves as a fiduciary and officer for a number of trusts managing money for charitable purposes, and has been very active in non-profit governance, participating in and chairing a number of nominating committees.
Mr Gearhart was previously the Treasurer of Ralston College from 2010-2017. He joined the Board and was reappointed Treasurer in 2023.
